Who Can Enter
Books may be submitted by authors, illustrators, and publishers of Christian children's books. Whoever is entering the title into the contest must choose the category.
What Books Can Be Entered
For our inaugural year, the 2019 Arrow Awards are open to books submitted in English, available for purchase in the United States, and published between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2019. Books with a release date or copyright date of 2020 will be eligible next year.
This contest is open to published books that have an ISBN number assigned to them. Galley copies are allowed only if finished copies are not yet available. New editions of previously published books are eligible. Reissued editions are not.
All entries must be original works of the author(s).
No eBooks, audio books, or spiral bound books are accepted.
Each entry must meet our mission of promoting Christian children's literature and as such we do not allow profanity, graphic sex or violence, or other objectionable content. Entries that contain these elements will be disqualified.
You are allowed to submitting your book into more than one category, but an entry fee is charged for each category entered. For your entry, you must submit three (3) copies of the title for each category entered. If you enter two categories, you would send six (6) copies; three categories, you would send nine (9) copies, and so on.
For instance, if you enter the Board Book category plus the Best Cover Design Category, you would submit (6) copies. you enter three (3) categories, please send nine (9) books.
Be sure to include a completed Entry Form inside the front cover of each physical book copy submitted.

Contest open dates and fees are as follows:
February 10, 2019 - May 31, 2019: $45 per entry
June 1, 2019 - September 30, 2019: $65 per entry
October 1, 2019 to December 15, 2019: $85 per entry
In order to qualify for the given pay period, an entry must be postmarked no later than the final due date (May 31, September 30, or December 15.
Payments may be made online or by check or money order. Make one payment for all entries regardless of the number of categories entered please. There are NO Membership Fees.
If you pay by check or money order, it should be clearly made out to Lamb Publishing, LLC.
If you pay by credit card, please place your credit card details in an envelope with your books via our entry form.
Do not include a separate payment inside each book. Place the payment for entry fees in an envelope inside the package with your books. Please do not include the payment in an envelope on the outside of the package.
Ship books and payment for entry fees in the same package via a shipping service, such as FedEx, UPS or the USPS, to insure on-time delivery. Do Not Ship Any Entry via the Fourth Class Book Rate.
Nominees will be announced February 28, 2019. Winners will be announced March 28, 2019
Payment must be received prior to contest deadline or submission will not be considered.
All payments are non-refundable and no books will be returned.
There will be no refunds or notifications for entries that are disqualified.
All books entered become the physical property of Lamb Publishing, LLC and will be donated to local libraries, charities, churches, and low income schools.
The Arrow Awards and Lamb Publishing, LLC reserve the right to disqualify a nomination that does not appear to be published for the Christian marketplace or does not reflect the commonly held beliefs of the Christian marketplace. The Christian marketplace is defined as the marketplace that is served by CBA member retail stores.
Any category that receives less than the minimum submission requirement will be combined with the closest genre category. The Arrow Awards director(s) reserve the right to eliminate any category if the level of submissions is not up to industry publishing standards.
